Fancy making a mini disco-light bot You’re in the right place!
What’s in it for you
Gear up to make your onboarded LED lights dance in yellow, green, blue, pink, white and red. You’ll start with timing them for a second each and then create forever loop for one long sequence.
Tools of the trade
The list of things you need is only three items long, really! Here it is:
A laptop or computer
GizmoBot hardware
mBlock Version 3 software (ready for download here!)
At the end of the project
Once you’ve gone through the motions set out by the project taskmasters, you’ll have a set of LED lights flashing all your selected colors in a sequence. You’ll also have practiced how to:
Increase the duration of each light flash
Switch up the LED colours with other values
Sneak peeks at key steps
If you want to know what lies ahead on the Gizmobot path, here’s a little sneak peek for you :
To turn the LEDs yellow, give the same intensity values to red and green
Set the red LED’s pin values to 0 to change to the next color
Snap all commands to the forever loop for a continuous run
If you like what you read, get ready to command!
Hints for programmers
Keep a repeat loop handy you’ll be able to use it to set both the right and left LEDs to your favorite color but at different times.
Stuck in a rut
If you’re stumbling over a step or two, don’t fret! Ask for help from a friendly project leader, or puzzle it out with your friends on the same course
See it in action
We’ve told you what the end product will be, and now we’ll show you, too! Here’s what your Gizmobot will look like in the end :
Want to brave a tougher challenge
If you’re confident you can take things a few notches higher, we’d love to see you do it. Experiment with colors and commands to see what you can make!

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
